SMK Dongguan Factory Receives IATF 16949:2016 Certification
with Expanded Scope of Applications
SMK Corporation (President, CEO and COO: Yasumitsu Ikeda) announced today that its production site in Dongguan, China, SMK Electronics (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. has received the IATF 16949:2016 certification*1 for a broader scope of application and remote locations*2 than before.

SMK has already received IATF 16949:2016 certification for the following four sites: the Philippines, Shenzhen (China), Mexico, and Dongguan (China), and plans to acquire the certification for its Malaysia factory.
SMK will continue striving to ensure automotive-grade quality and strengthen its business in the car electronics market.
*1 IATF 16949:2016 is an international standard for automotive quality management system
published by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF).
*2 Remote location is the location of the departments supporting the production site.
